Unfortunately I got sick and couldn’t work for a few days. I am absolutely convinced you’ve missed my internship report and now you’re overjoyed to hear from me again. When I was back in the office, I continued working on our Instagram account and other social media profiles. I planned some posts and made sure that enough content was provided by the designers.

Until a few weeks ago, I was one of the many people who have never heard of creating graphic design or animated videos in PowerPoint. This industry is still in its infancy and has a correspondingly small community. Tom is very dedicated to educating people about working in PowerPoint, getting in touch with other graphic designers, and networking. For this reason, he started organising a POWERPOINT DESIGN NETWORKING EVENT every quarter.  The next internship event takes place on September 4th at 6PM at The Captains Balcony. An event has been created on Eventbrite, a platform where you can register and find out more information about the evening. I also shared it on social media and sent invitations for this event via mail.

Despite all the work, I was able to do another online course on HubSpot this week. Referring to the ongoing project, I decided to do the Email Marketing Certification internship. I learned how to create a “Contact Management and Segmentation Strategy,” “Analysing Marketing Emails,” and “Developing Relationships with Lead Nurturing.” I am confident that I will be able to apply some of this knowledge during my time at Synapsis Creative.

How I GOT introduced by synapsis creative

Sam, the Junior Art Director, introduced me to Synapsis Creative’s brand guidelines. This document specifies how to use the company logo and lettering. It also describes exactly which colours, fonts and symbols may be used. First and foremost, of course, this is important for the designers. But it is also useful in marketing and account management as it is important to know the brand guidelines and the appropriate logo use.

Oh, and by the way, we moved into a new office. It’s bigger and better than the old one. And best of all: There are strange holes in the wall with a glass through which you can see the sun. I’ve been told they are called “windows”. I love our new office!
